Wooden Wick Candle Care

To enjoy the full life and fragrance of your wooden wick candle, please follow these care guidelines.

First Burn
Allow the candle to burn until the wax has melted evenly across the surface. This establishes a full melt pool and helps prevent tunneling.

Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim the wooden wick to ⅛–¼ inch (3–5 mm). A shorter wick ensures a steady flame, minimal smoke, and a soft crackling sound.

Keep the Wick Clean
Remove any charred or loose pieces from the wick before relighting. This promotes an even burn and easy ignition.

Burn Time
Burn for 2–4 hours at a time. Extinguish once the melt pool reaches the edges of the vessel to preserve both wax and fragrance.

Lighting Tips
Wooden wicks may require a few extra seconds to light. Hold the flame to the wick until it ignites fully across its surface.

Extinguishing
Gently blow out the flame or use a wick dipper. Avoid submerging the wick in wax, as this can make relighting difficult.

Safety
Always burn on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, pets, and flammable objects. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
